cortexIf you can remember the time when the first PlayStation was ever launched, you might recall that Sony had set up booths featuring the PlayStation console all over the place, and one the games that they kept offering up as a demo was Crash Bandicoot. Its playstyle and graphics were quite unique and different at that time, but safe to say that the game has since faded into obscurity.

However it looks like there might be more proof that the game could be staging a comeback. As pointed out by a user on the NeoGAF forums, voice actor Lex Lang made a post on Facebook saying, “Wow! What a throwback Thursday! This week I have been asked to resurrect three different characters that I voiced from 3 different games gone by. A doctor, a devil and a droid/AI. Unfortunately that’s all I’m allowed to disclose at this time. Stay tuned for more details!! Very excited about those!!”

For those unfamiliar with Lang’s work, he took on the role of Doctor Neo Cortex in the Crash Twinsanity video game, thus fueling speculation that the folks at Sony could be interested in reviving the game. That being said, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumblings of a possible revival of the classic.

Earlier this year the PlayStation Middle East Twitter account posted a photo of Crash Bandicoot with the caption saying, “Most wanted person… Where are you Crash?” Now Sony themselves have yet to officially announce anything, but with this latest hint dropped by Lang and with E3 coming up, perhaps we might find out more then.
