hugh-jackman-wolverine-3-imageSuperheroes in comics fight, and sometimes that fighting is rather brutal but sometimes when it comes to movie adaptations, that violence does not translate properly, or at all, at least not until the Deadpool movie came along where it became the highest grossing R-rated movie ever, which has since inspired other superhero movies to take the same route.

In fact if you’re interested you might be pleased to learn that the third Wolverine movie will be headed down that path. This was confirmed by the movie’s producer Simon Kinberg in which he confirmed to Collider that the movie will be R-rated, and that “It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies.”

According to Kinberg, “I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say about that. I will agree with you that Patrick Stewart was rumored to be a part of that film. It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”

There were rumors earlier this year that the third Wolverine movie would indeed be R-rated, and it turns out that those rumors have since been proven true. In the meantime the third Wolverine movie has been set for a release on the 3rd of March, 2017.
