There are plenty of third-party iOS and Android keyboards to choose from. They all tend to come with different features and function that allows them to claim that they are the best. For example we have SwiftKey who claims to be great at word prediction, then we have the recently launched Google keyboard “Gboard” that lets users search within the keyboard itself.

Now it looks like we have a new contender in the form of the Wrio keyboard. Wrio, for those unfamiliar, is a Swiss startup company. The company has launched the keyboard for iOS and Android devices and as you can see, it clearly does not look like your standard iOS keyboard or any other third-party keyboard for that matter.

This is thanks to its design which uses some kind of honeycomb-like layout, which according to them, will allow users to type anywhere between 20-70% faster than normal keyboards. The app seems to have taken some cues from Fleksy in which gestures will be used to delete characters. The spacebar is also gone and replaced by the two darker honeycombs in the middle of the keyboard.

Now we can’t attest to whether or not Wrio’s claims are true, plus we reckon there will be a bit of a learning curve before you can really fly on this thing, but either way if you are interested it is priced at $2.99 and is currently 40% off as part of its launch promotion. You can also find it via the Google Play Store for Android users.
