xbox-one-game-streaming-windows-10-mobile

Microsoft has enabled Xbox One game streaming for Windows 10 PCs but it hasn’t said if the privilege will be extended to Windows 10 Mobile as well. A Reddit user appears to have found some evidence to support the theory that Xbox One game streaming on Windows 10 Mobile could be possible one day. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed or denied anything about this yet so the possibility very much exists until it says otherwise.

Reddit user eric5949 found an option in the latest Windows 10 Mobile build to “play from console,” instead of “play on console,” when pressed it brings up the “We couldn’t stream from your console. Try again later” error message.

The error message is enough to make it seem that Xbox One game streaming on Windows 10 Mobile could very well become a reality at some point in the future. The fact that this option has appeared in insider builds could suggest that this feature could be introduced with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update due in a couple of months.

If Xbox One game streaming really is coming to Windows 10 Mobile then it’s quite likely that we’ll hear about this officially next month at Microsoft’s E3 2016 press briefing. The company is also expected to launch some new Xbox hardware at the gaming convention next month.
