McDonald’s often tests out some wacky ideas over in Japan and the latest one is no different. It takes the “golden” in Golden Arches to heart by offering 18-karat chicken McNugget as a prize in a new promotion. You can imagine that this won’t cost what a normal McNugget does, this 18-karat McNugget is worth around $1,500. Talk about value for money.

Golden is a word that gets thrown around liberally over at McDonald’s, it’s the Golden Arches after all, so expect to get perfectly crisp golden fries and nuggets every time you visit one of its locations across the globe. So a nugget with gold makes sense after all.

It’s fitting for a McNugget to be decked out with gold so it can truly be “golden.” This $1,500 nugget is the prize in a new promotion launched by McDonald’s Japan for two new dipping sauces, fruits curry, creamy cheddar cheese and a new mascot called Kaito Nuggets.

Those who are interested in winning this precious nugget have to follow the company on social media and try and keep track of where Kaito Nuggets might show up in order to get a chance to win this prize. Check out the advertisement posted above to get more information about this promotion.
