If you’re in the market for a new notebook, Google would appreciate that you give Chromebooks a chance. These are affordable and fast laptops that are powered by the company’s cloud-based Chrome OS. The Google Store already has a nice variety of Chromebooks on offer, the lineup is now being expanded with two new models, the Acer Chromebook 11 and Acer Chromebook 14 are now available to purchase from the Google Store.

Both of these Acer Chromebooks are quite popular so it makes every bit of sense for Google to sell them directly. Customers in the United States and Canada can purchase them online starting today.

The 2016 Acer Chromebook 11 features a 2.16Ghz Intel Celeron dual-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD storage, and promises 9 hours of battery life. It also has an 11.6 inch 1366×768 pixel resolution display.

Acer Chromebook 14 has a Full HD display, it’s powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Celeron quad-core processor, 32GB SSD storage, as well as 4GB of RAM. It also has an all-aluminum body. Both notebooks run Chrome OS.

The Acer Chromebook 11 and 14 are available for purchase through the Google Store for $180 and $300 respectively. They’re great for getting work done, however, they do require constant internet connection to be of any use. Things will improve once the ability to run Android apps on Chromebooks is finally baked into the operating system.
