gnote 7Last year Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 5, which means that by right this year we should expect the Galaxy Note 6, although recent rumors have suggested that Samsung could be thinking of calling it the Galaxy Note 7 instead. Now according to a report from SamMobile, that could be the case.

According to SamMobile, they have recently received a teaser image (see above) which allegedly is that for the upcoming handset and as you can see, it shows a vague outline of the number 7 and the tagline that reads, “Notre the next Galaxy”. However there is no Samsung logo or the Unpacked logo that usually accompanies Samsung’s teasers.

This alone has made us a tad skeptical. It should be pointed out that this is actually the second teaser that has made its way online. An earlier teaser image also hinted that the phone would be called the Galaxy Note 7, although that teaser was equally suspicious as it lacked any logos or markings that indicated that it came from Samsung.

These images aren’t that hard to draw up in the likes of Photoshop or Illustrator, so obviously you shouldn’t put too much faith into it, plus the rumors that Samsung could be announcing the phone earlier than expected in August, teasers at this stage in the game does seem to be a bit premature, don’t you think?
