EA recently announced a new promotion called Road to Battlefield, the aim is to create hype for the upcoming Battlefield game by providing discounted and free content for the two most recent Battlefield games. Today it has released another piece of free content for fans, the Battlefield 4 DLC Second Assault is now available for download absolutely free on all supported platforms.

Two of the most recent Battlefield games received major discounts as part of this promotion just last week. Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline were both discounted to $5 for a limited time as part of the Road to Battlefield promotion. Fans have been promised that they will continue to receive more free content, including paid DLCs, as part of this promotion until Battlefield 1 comes out in October this year.

Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC includes four new maps that have been remade from previous Battlefield games, maps include Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, Operation Metro, and Operation Firestorm. It also adds five new weapons to the game, so it’s going to keep players busy for some time.

This Battlefield 4 DLC is now available for free on both consoles and PC. Just fire up the respective online store, add the DLC to your cart, and download it. It will be yours to keep forever at no charge. EA will be hoping that you repay it by purchasing Battlefield 1 when it arrives later this year.
