Ever since Hideo Kojima announced that he would be leaving Konami and essentially the Metal Gear franchise, many have wondered what he would be up to next. We know that he has launched his own development studio called Kojima Productions, and it looks like the studio’s first game has been officially announced.

Called “Death Stranding”, this will effectively be Kojima Productions’ and Hideo Kojima’s first game since he left Konami. Unfortunately the details about the game are a bit ambiguous as Kojima has not shared many details save for the trailer and the fact that the studio will be working with The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus.

Last we heard, Reedus was supposed to be working with Kojima and Konami in developing Silent Hills, but ever since the game was cancelled, it was anyone’s guess as to whether Reedus and Kojima would continue working together. The official trailer for Death Stranding has been released as you can see in the video above.

Unfortunately it is a bit abstract and it’s hard to tell what kind of game it is, although given Kojima’s past work we suppose it is easy to speculate. In any case we expect more details of the game will be shared at a later date, but in the meantime you check out its trailer in the video above.
