Far Harbor DLC was anxiously waited for by the Fallout 4 community but they weren’t too chuffed to find out that the initial release didn’t run as well as it should have on PlayStation 4. The DLC had to be re-released on PlayStation 4 just to fix those issues, but it’s not that simple because players have to go through a couple of steps on their own to re-download the DLC and ensure that they don’t encounter those issues on PlayStation 4 again.
It hasn’t been long since the Fallout 4 Far Harbor expansion was released for all supported platforms, including PS4, but it was Sony’s console that was affected by these performance issues.
Bethesda quickly owned up to the problem and promised that it would release a patch which would fix the issues. The patch wasn’t released, however, Bethesda released an updated version of the DLC instead.
This means that players have to download Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4 once again. They first have to ensure that the game is not running, navigate to Related Items and My Add-ons to find Far Harbor and select it.
All that’s needs to be done then is to wait for the DLC to be downloaded and installed once again. After that done, simply fire up Fallout 4 and enjoy the Far Harbor expansion without any performance issues.
Keep in mind that this updated DLC has only been released for players in North America, Bethesda has said that it’s going to share more details about the update for players in Europe very soon.
