facebook-messenger-hidden-game

The team of Facebook seems to have developed a habit of hiding games inside Facebook Messenger. These are called easter eggs and they’re a delight to find. Back in March it was discovered that a basketball mini game was hidden inside Facebook Messenger and now as the world follows Euro 2016 with interest, the team has baked in a soccer game in Facebook Messenger.

It’s a mini game that you can play to kill some time. Obviously it won’t provide a proper gaming experience but that’s not the idea here after all.

The game is essentially a digital version of Keepie Uppie which requires that players keep a soccer ball up in the air for has long as they can. If you play this in real life there’s bound to be a time when your legs get tired, but that won’t be the concern in a digital game.

Finding the game is easy enough. First make sure that you have the latest version of Facebook Messenger. Open a chat with a friend or a group of friends, send the soccer emoji and then tap the emoji you just sent. The mini game will automatically be enabled.

The game even keeps track of the high score among everyone that’s in that chat thread.
