Earlier this week Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment officially confirmed Injustice 2, the sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game is being developed by NetherRealm studios and it features a massive roster of super villains and superheroes from the DC universe. A cinematic trailer was released when the game was confirmed and now the first Injustice 2 gameplay trailer has been released, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from this title.

The first Injustice 2 gameplay trailer shows some of our favorite characters battle it out, characters that figure in the trailer includes Supergirl, Aquaman, Gorilla Grodd, Black Manta, Red Lantern Atrocitus, and the DC icons Superman and Batman. The characters will be duking it out across iconic locations in Metropolis, Gotham City, and Atlantis.

Clearly Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment were not kidding when they said that this game has a massive roster of characters from the comic universe. The trailer also gives a glimpse of the costume upgrades that players will get as they progress through the game.

Expect to hear more about Injustice 2 next week as the game will be showcased at E3 2016 gaming convention. No precise release date has been confirmed yet, Injustice 2 is slated to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.
