fleksyWhen it comes to third-party keyboard apps, there are many to choose from, although there are probably only a handful that are truly popular, like SwiftKey and Fleksy. The latter app appears to have been doing well for itself and just last year, announced that they would be giving its app away for free.

They even teamed up with ZTE in which future ZTE handsets would come with the keyboard preloaded. However it seems that recently its users are worried that the app might now be dead. According to a post on Reddit, users are wondering how come there haven’t been any updates for more than 2 months.

Also it has been pointed out that its support website has been taken offline. All of this is rather worrying, but apparently we shouldn’t be worried because the folks at Droid-Life have reached out to Fleksy who has reassured them that they are not dead. If anything developers have told them that they are working on updates and will have more to share in the coming weeks.

We guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens then, but in the meantime if you are worried about the app and how there might not be support in the future, there are plenty of alternatives available, like the recently launched Google Gboard.
