fujifilm instax sp-1If you’re after portability/mobility when it comes to printing photos, the Fujifilm Instax SP-1 printer is a pretty decent option. Granted it doesn’t exactly match the quality you might get from more expensive printers or if you took it outside to get printed, but like we said, it is portable and also pretty fun to a certain extent.

Now as you might have heard, there are rumors suggesting that an Instax SP-2 could be announced soon, and now thanks to Fuji Rumors, we have a date to look forward to. The site claims that according to its sources, the Instax SP-2 will be announced on the 27th of June, which is this coming Monday.

Prior to this we had speculated that the printer could be announced alongside the Fujifilm X-T2 mirrorless camera in July, but we guess maybe Fujifilm did not want the focus to be drawn away from the X-T2 by its accessories. Or maybe they decided that the Instax SP-2 did not warrant such a grand announcement.

That being said, the Instax SP-1 has already been marked as discontinued by retailers such as BH Photo, so unless Fujifilm has no plans to release a successor, we should be able to learn more about the Instax SP-2 come Monday, so be sure to check back with us then for the details.
