fujifilm_x-t1_01Last week we reported that Fujifilm had scheduled a VIP event for the 7th of July. It was speculated that this event could be about the Fujifilm X-T2’s official launch, and now it seems that more evidence has surfaced to suggest that the event could indeed revolve around the upcoming X-T2.

As discovered by Fuji Rumors, it seems that Fujifilm won’t only be scheduling an event on the 7th of July in the US. It turns out that the company has started to send out invites to events that they will be hosting in Europe as well, indicating that something major will be announced on the that date, which we are definitely hoping will be the X-T2.

Granted there is still always the off-chance that Fujifilm could announce something else entirely, like new lenses, but so far the rumors have been pretty consistent in that the X-T2 could be announced either in the later part of June or possibly in the early part of July, and with the July 7th events being scheduled, it’s starting to look more and more like that will be the case.

Either way we are still a few weeks away from the actual event, so mark the dates down on your calendar and be sure to check back with us then for all the official details!
