g_calendarIf you’re trying to find a time to schedule someone in for a meeting, you obviously need to find a time when you are not busy. How this would typically work is you scroll through your calendar to find the dates and times that you are free and suggest that to the other person. It’s simple enough, but obviously it could be improved upon.

Google has recently announced some changes that they have made to the Google Calendar app, and this is a change that we reckon you guys might find pretty useful. Now instead of users having to scroll through their calendar to find out when they will be free, Google Calendar can actually suggest times that you will be free, as you can see in the screenshot above.

From there it’s a pretty straightforward task of you selecting the time that will suit you and the other person, save it into your calendar, and you’re done! Unfortunately this update does not help you avoid conflict with another person’s schedule, meaning that you could be free at 11, but they aren’t, and so on.

We reckon that would be a lot more useful, but we suppose this is a step in the right direction. The update should be rolling out to users as we speak, but if you don’t see it yet, don’t worry as it should eventually find its way to you.
