It was revealed earlier this month that the release of PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn had been delayed. The game was previously expected to be released this year but Sony and Guerrilla Games said that the game will now be released in early 2017. Sony did talk about this game at its E3 2016 press event, it provided a confirmed Horizon Zero Dawn PS4 release date, and as promised, it’s going to come out early next year.

Horizon Zero Dawn is set in a post-apocalyptic world where nature has claimed the ruins of a once great civilization. Pockets of civilization still exist that survive in tribes, and their existence becomes threatened by the Machines who emerge from unknown origins.

Aloy is the protagonist in the game, she’s a young hunter who is looking to discover her destiny while using her superior skills to hunt down the Machines, defend against rival tribes, and survive in the wilderness.

At E3 2016, Sony showcased an eight-minute trailer for this game which is developed by Guerrilla Games. It also confirmed that the Horizon Zero Dawn PlayStation 4 release is going to take place on February 28th, 2017. The developer has previously said that this delay is required to ensure that the game provides the visuals and gameplay quality that its games are known for.
