macbook pro conceptAccording to the rumors, this year’s MacBook Pro refresh is going to be huge. We heard that there could be built-in Touch ID and also an OLED touch panel could be replacing the row of function keys. In fact not too long ago, leaked photos surfaced which seemed to support the rumors.

Now whether or not the rumors are true remains to be seen as this would be a huge shift for Apple, but in the meantime, a reader from 9to5Mac called Cameron has cooked up a concept image of what a MacBook Pro with an OLED touch panel could look like, as you can see in the rendering above.

First of all, the rest of the MacBook Pro’s design is still the same, save for the top row which has been replaced with an OLED touch panel. This is where the function keys will go and we have to say that it looks like a pretty neat concept. Given that this is a display/touchscreen panel, we can only imagine that it will be dynamic in the sense that it can change according to the app you are running.

For example you could get more dedicated media controls, or maybe create shortcuts for apps, or launch apps, and so on. Of course such a concept isn’t new as the Razer Blade Pro laptop already has a similar-ish feature. In any case this is just a concept for now but what do you guys make of it? Yay or nay?
