x-t2 tiltA couple of months ago a photo made its way online that showed off the alleged Fujifilm X-T2 and its articulating display, a welcome feature to the camera especially when you consider that its predecessor, the X-T1, had a display with somewhat limited mobility. Now the folks at Fuji Rumors have managed to get their hand on new photos.

As you can see in the photo above, it shows off the camera and more of its new articulating display. It’s a bit hard to tell, but from what we can surmise, the display seems to be attached to some kind of tray that looks similar to the X-T1, with the main difference is that the display can “pop out” from the tray and flip to the right.

Now we’re not sure why would anyone need to tilt the display that way and it is admittedly rather odd, but we suppose it does afford some degree of flexibility when it comes to shooting photos or videos. In case you’re wondering about how legit these photos are, you’ll notice that under the dial to the right of the camera there are four modes.

The X-T1 only has 3 modes and based on earlier leaks, it has been hinted that there will be 4 different metering modes for the X-T2, so while we can’t confirm the legitimacy of the photos, at least the rumors are consistent. No word on when the camera will be announced, but Fujifilm has scheduled a VIP event for the 7th of July so perhaps we will find out more then.
