Destiny-rise-of-ironWe have been hearing a lot of rumors regarding the next expansion for Destiny, which according to a leaked poster indicated that it would be called “Rise of Iron”. This was further corroborated when the folks at Bungie filed for a trademark for the very same name. Details of the game are expected to be revealed tomorrow, but it looks like Bungie might have accidentally confirmed it early.

According to reports, it seems that the Rise of Iron expansion was accidentally revealed on Bungie’s website ahead of the official announcement, which means that all the previous leaks and rumors have been right on the money. However the information has since been removed from Bungie’s website, but like we said, the official announcement is tomorrow so we guess we won’t have to wait much longer for it.

In addition to the game making an appearance on the official website, it also made an appearance on the New Zealand Xbox store, whose listing has since been removed. That being said, details of the game are scarce at the moment but from the initial listings, it seems that Rise of Iron will only be making its way onto the PS4 and Xbox One.

This means gamers still on the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be out of luck, which is rather unfortunate given that previous content was made available to older consoles, but at the same time we suppose this isn’t that big of a surprise.
