t-mobile-free-in-flight-wifi-gogo

T-Mobile’s uncarrier 11 announcement today is all about thanking its customers. As if giving away free stuff every week and actual shares of the company weren’t enough, the carrier has also confirmed that its customers will get one hour of free Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi internet on every flight. This promotion is obviously only going to be useful if you’re on a flight that offers Wi-Fi powered by Gogo.

This new promotion is going to start June 13th and will be available on any domestic flight in the United States that offers Wi-Fi by Gogo. Any handset running on T-mobile with a valid phone number is eligible to receive one free hour of in-flight Wi-Fi.

Again, that’s not all. T-Mobile customers get free usage of WhatsApp, iMessage, Viber, and Google Hangouts throughout the entire flight. It doesn’t matter if their free hour is up, passengers who use T-Mobile will continue to be connected with their loved ones via these IM apps.

Customers who have phones that support Wi-Fi calling should know that T-Mobile will allow them to send MMS, SMS, and even access their visual voice mail using the free hour of internet.

All of these freebies make a compelling argument to those who are considering switching carriers, and that’s precisely the result T-Mobile is hoping to achieve from all of this.
