world of warcraft legionIf you aren’t too pleased with the state of the dungeons offered in Warlords of Draenor, then the upcoming Legion expansion for World of Warcraft could be what the doctor ordered. This is according to an interview World of Warcraft’s assistant lead designer Ion Hazzikostas did with IGN in which he revealed what we could expect from the expansion.

According to Hazzikostas, he claims to personally enjoy dungeons as it is a mode of the game that allows friends to play together, and we guess it is admittedly a lot easier to gather four other friends than organize a 25-man raid. So much so that he states that Legion will be a dungeon-focused expansion.

“We think of Legion as a very dungeon-centric expansion. We have a lot of features including our new scaling mythic dungeons that are tied to the dungeon system in Legion and so it feels like a very good time for us to continue to support going forward patches. We’ll see what the future holds.”

Hopefully whatever Blizzard has planned for Legion will pan out. Warlords of Draenor saw World of Warcraft almost return to its glory days, but subscription numbers quickly fell off after that. Maybe the Warcraft movie could entice gamers to come back, either way we’ll have to wait until the 30th of August to find out for ourselves.
