There’s good news for you if you happen to own a Microsoft gaming console. The company has confirmed that Xbox One multiplayer is going to be free this weekend, meaning that console owners can try out all of the benefits of Xbox Live Gold for free until Sunday. Free multiplayer weekends have been offered in the past as well so this isn’t something entirely new, but it’s certainly welcomed by those who don’t regularly subscribe to Xbox Live Gold.

Starting today and until June 12th, Xbox owners can play multiplayer games for free without requiring an Xbox Live Gold subscription. This offer is open to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners.

As if providing an entire weekend of free multiplayer access wasn’t enough, Microsoft has also announced that from now and until June 12th, Rocket League is also going to be available for free.

So not only do Xbox owners get to play online games for free but they also get a chance to try out a great game for no additional charge. The weekend is coming up so many console owners will have ample time to take advantage of this offer.

Once the weekend is up and players decide that they would like to purchase Rocket League, all they need to do is get an Xbox Live Gold subscription which will give them 10 percent off on the usual price of Rocket League.
