Asus-Zenfone-3-DeluxeYesterday Qualcomm announced their latest chipset in the form of the Snapdragon 821. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 rumored for a launch next month, you would not be blamed if you thought that maybe Samsung would be the first out of the door with a Snapdragon 821 chipset, but think again.

It seems that ASUS has beaten them to the punch as the company has officially announced the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe, making the company and this handset the first to the market with Qualcomm’s latest chipset. In terms of specs, it sounds like the Zenfone 3 will be packing quite a bit of heat.

We are looking at a phone with a 5.7-inch Full HD display and Qualcomm’s latest chipset which is said to be 10% more powerful than its predecessor. There will also be a whopping 6GB of RAM, 256GB of UFS 2.0 storage, microSD support, a 23MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, fingerprint recognition, and it will also be a Google Daydream-friendly device.

The phone will also be packing a 3,000mAh battery. For those who are interested, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be debuting in select Asian markets next month where it will be priced at around $780. No word on whether we can expect it stateside either.
