batman_return_to_arkhamWarner Bros. was initially planning on releasing Batman: Return to Arkham in July. However towards the end of June, the publisher announced that they would be delaying the game indefinitely as it did not even have a date that we could look forward to. The reason was due to the additional polish the game needed.

Given the mess that was Batman: Arkham Knight, we guess Warner Bros. is hoping to avoid a repeat performance. That being said, when will Return to Arkham, well, return? According to the folks at Eurogamer, it seems that we can look forward to the game’s release in November at the very earliest.

This is according to their sources who informed them about the potential November release. Unsurprisingly Warner Bros. did not confirm the rumor, and instead issued a statement that reads, “We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”

The report goes on to add that if the November date falls through, chances are we are looking at an early 2017 release. We suppose this is disappointing but since Return To Arkham is essentially a collection of the Batman games released to date, if you’ve played them all then we guess it’s not really a big deal.
