brie larson captain marvelFor a long time, Marvel has had plans to launch a Captain Marvel movie. There have also been rumors about who could land the role, and there have also been some who have petitioned Marvel for the role. For example former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey had publicly expressed her desire to play the part.

There have also been rumors that Brie Larson could land the gig and as it turns out, the rumors were right. During the San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Larson would indeed be landing herself a new gig as Captain Marvel in the upcoming movie that has been scheduled for a release on the 8th of March, 2019.

Larson confirmed the announcement in a post on Twitter which has a caption that reads, “Call me Captain Marvel”, and is accompanied by a photo of her wearing a Marvel Studios cap. For those unfamiliar with Larson’s work, she has appeared in movies such as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 21 Jump Street, and will also be appearing in 2017’s Kong: Skull Island alongside the likes of Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson.

Now 2019 is quite a long way to go and as we have seen in the past, actors have dropped out, writers have dropped out, directors have been changed, and so on, so basically anything could happen from now until then, but until we hear otherwise, what do you guys think of Larson as Captain Marvel? Yay, or nay?
