disney-infinityEarlier this year we reported that Disney announced that the Disney Infinity game would be discontinued, and now thanks to an update on their website, the details of how and when the game will be shut down has been revealed, but basically the servers will be going offline come March 2017.

Starting from today, gamers will no longer be able to make in-game purchases on the PC, Steam version of Disney Infinity 2.0, iOS, Google Android, Amazon Android and Apple TV. However gamers who have Disney Infinity 3.0 on Steam will be able to continue making in-game purchases.

Come 30th of September, 2016, players will not be able to login to play the game across PC, iOS, Google Android and Amazon Android. The game will also be removed from the iTunes App Store for the Apple TV. However gamers on Steam will be able to keep playing the game, with the exception of online services and community features as those will be discontinued.

On the 3rd of January, 2017, in-game purchases will no longer be possible on the Windows 8/10 version of the game, and come 3rd March, the Apple TV, Windows 8/10 version of the game will no longer be playable, available, or supported, and that all Disney Infinity online services and community features will be discontinued.

We know it does sound a little confusing and convoluted, but you can check out the Disney Infinity website if you’d like to check out the details for yourself.
