Sure, many of us have had frustrating moments when it comes to game developers, such as questioning how they could have implemented certain features, why they changed certain aspects of the game, the price, the in-app purchases, and so on. To take out our frustration, some might have sent in emails, posted on social media, or just ranted about it to friends.
However a Chinese man named Lee decided that the best way to show his frustration was to take a car and drive it literally into the offices of Nexon, who for those unfamiliar developed popular titles such as MapleStory and Atlantica Online. Lee’s excuse was that he was drunk, and secondly he also blamed the company for apparently ruining his life by making him so addicted to their games.
Lee was said to be on vacation in South Korea which was when he decided to take the car, belonging to his brother, and crashing it into Nexon’s offices. The company has yet to comment on the incident, but presumably Lee has been arrested and will be facing charges for his actions. That being said, Lee’s addiction isn’t as rare as you might think.
In the past we have seen how games have made gamers so addicted and so unaware of their surroundings that they have neglected their own health, or in worse cases, they neglect the health of their own children.
