ios 10 emojisApple’s Messages is an app that for the most part has acted as a glorified app that sends SMS, or if sending to another iOS user, will send as an iMessage. However in terms of features, it’s not exactly on par with the likes of WhatsApp or Snapchat, although we guess it does have that exclusivity thing going on for it.

That being said, Apple is looking to switch things up with iOS 10 and now thanks to screenshots, we now know what to expect from the emoji packs that will be available for Messages. Apple rolled out these emojis as part of the second iOS 10 beta and as you can see, Apple is certainly looking to leave their own stamp instead of relying on the default emojis.

This isn’t too surprising considering that Google has also introduced their own emojis in Hangouts and have moved away from the default emojis that we have gotten used to so far. As you can see, Apple has also included some nostalgic emojis that are reminiscent of the good old days when computers used to be monochrome and icons were anything but “Retina”.

We expect that eventually more developers will create their own sticker packs for Messages, like how LINE is host to a ton of sticker apps, but for now these are the ones that Apple will be bundling with iOS 10.
