pokemon-goWe know how addictive it can be to try and get the best Pokemon to try and outdo your friends, but it should never be higher than your own personal safety. Unfortunately for a pair of gamers, it seems that while playing the game, they actually fell off a cliff near the ocean in Encinitas, California.

Thankfully it seems that neither of them suffered life-threatening injuries, although we’re guessing that they’ll be more careful the next time they’re playing the game. According to the official report released by the City of Encinitas, “On Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at approximately 1:10pm, the Encinitas Fire and Marine Safety responded to a cliff rescue on E Street. Encinitas Lifeguards encountered one male on the beach and a second male approximately 50 feet below the bluffs.”

“AMR, Encinitas Lifeguards and firefighters treated the fall patient on the beach. Additional Encinitas Fire Department units extricated the second patient to the top of the bluffs at the E Street overlook. Both patients were transported to Scripps La Jolla Trauma Center with moderate injuries.”

This isn’t the first injury we’ve heard of related to Pokemon GO. We’ve seen videos where people have accidentally fallen into ponds because they did not see where they were walking, and recently we reported how one gamer crashed his car into a tree while he was playing the game and driving at the same time.
