When Grand Theft Auto V was launched, many lauded the game’s graphics because let’s be honest, they look pretty good. However these days we have to admit that they are starting to look a tad dated especially in the face of newer games, but if you’re hoping to keep playing GTA V for years to come, then the Redux mod might be worth checking out.

Put together by Josh Romito and his team, the Redux mod is basically a mod for GTA V that will make it incredibly realistic. There are various changes and new textures introduced to the game, new lighting, new weather systems, effects, and more. However it is more than just a visual overhaul of the game.

Redux will also introduce a new police system with a reconfigured wanted system. The police and the military AI in the game have been given a new set of skills and tactics, which hopefully means they’ll be harder to evade than before. The mod also changes your weapons to make them more realistic and closer to their real-life counterparts.

For those interested in getting their hands on the mod, it has yet to be released but its creators have set a date for the 26th of August, so mark that date down and head on over to its website for the details.
