htc desire 530If the HTC 10 isn’t to your liking maybe in terms of design or price, don’t worry as HTC has recently announced that the HTC Desire 530 will be making its way to the US. The handset isn’t the most powerful handset we’ve seen from HTC, but it was designed to be a more street-inspired handset in terms of aesthetics, so if you want a sporty-looking device, this could be it.

So what kind of specs are we looking at? According to HTC, the HTC Desire 530 will feature a 5-inch 720p HD display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset clocked at 1.1GHz and will also be accompanied by 1.5GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage, Android 6.0, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Like we said, not exactly a handset to shout about, although HTC seems to be particularly proud of the design of the phone which has a micro-splash effect on its polycarbonate body. We have to say that while the specs do not impress, the design does look pretty fresh and funky, and certainly a nice departure from what we’ve come to expect from manufacturers these days.

HTC will be selling the HTC Desire 530 via T-Mobile and Verizon, but customers who’d rather not be tied to any particular carrier will be able to pick up the phone for themselves later this month where it will be priced at $179.
