If you’re thinking about getting into app development and you’re worried that you’re too old and there’s too much material to cover, we get it, it can be intimidating. However there are also tons of programs out there that aim to teach users from ground up how to code, and if iOS is the platform that you’re eyeing specifically, you’re in luck.Apple has recently confirmed that they will be launching their first iOS academy this October. The academy will be launched in Italy and will be located at the Università di Napoli Federico II where students who attend the academy will be given coaching and guidance on how to go about creating their own apps.
In a statement provided by Apple’s Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri, “We are thrilled to be working with University of Naples Federico II to launch the first iOS Developer Academy in Europe. Some of the most creative developers in the world come from Europe, and we are confident this center will help the next generation get the skills they need for success.”
The academy will be launched in October where 200 students will be taking part in it, which is expected to double the following year with plans to create more university extensions around the world. This isn’t the first educational initiative Apple has taken. Last month the company launched their own app called Swift Playground that was aimed at teaching youngsters how to code.
