meizu mx6Back in the day when we’d think of handsets made by Chinese OEMs, we’d probably not think too much of them. Fast forward to today, many Chinese OEMs are quickly catching up to the likes of Apple and Samsung, and this is despite the fact that many of these phones tend to be kept within China or the Asian region.

Now for those interested in seeing what Chinese OEMs have to offer, Meizu has recently taken the wraps off its latest handset – the Meizu MX6, which from its design appears to be similar to the Meizu Pro 6. It packs some pretty impressive specs followed by an equally impressive price tag, so shoppers on budget might want to check it out.

So what specs is the MX6 packing under its hood? According to Meizu, the MX6 will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The handset will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and will be accompanied by 4GB of RAM. There is also 32GB of storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor, and it will also adopt the USB-C standard.

The MX6 will come with a 3,060mAh battery with 24w fast charging and it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Flyme 5.2 on top of it. It is also priced at $299 which like we said, is pretty impressive for a handset with its specs. It is expected to be released in China come 30th of July, but no word on whether we will be seeing it arrive stateside.
