xbox one 250Microsoft announced not too long ago that the slimmer and newer Xbox One S would be released on the 2nd of August. The console will be priced at $299 for the 500GB version, but if you’re not too fussed about some of its features and its slimmer profile, you might be pleased to learn that Microsoft has discounted the current-gen Xbox One.

The 500GB Xbox One is now priced at $250, although as Microsoft states on its blog, this will be for a limited time only and it will be while stocks last. This means that you will effectively be saving yourself $50 if you were eyeing the 500GB Xbox One S, but like we said, there will be certain features that you might miss out on.

However according to Microsoft (to possibly sweeten the deal), the $250 Xbox One will be applied to any 500GB Xbox One console. “This means any 500GB Xbox One console is $249, including the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle, the Special Edition Quantum Break bundle with white console, and the Name your Game bundle, which allows you to choose a full game download of one of four blockbuster titles: Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or Rare Replay.”

So if there were any bundles that you had your eye on, perhaps this might be a deal worth checking out, but remember it is for a limited time as we’re sure plenty of gamers will be eager to snap it up.
