samsung serif tvTVs these days have slimmed down considerably where they are no longer the hulking gadget in the middle of the living room. However they still aren’t as seamless as they could be, which is what Samsung was trying to achieve last year when they announced the SERIF TV, a TV designed to blend seamlessly with your home’s furnishings.

The TV was announced for the European market, but for our readers in the US, fret not because Samsung has decided that they will also be bringing the SERIF TV stateside where it will be available for purchase this summer, with presales already up on Samsung’s website and the MoMa Design Store.

Just in case you need a recap, the SERIF TV was designed in a collaboration between Samsung and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The idea was to create a stylish TV that combines modern display technologies without creating a device that was an eyesore. As you can see in the photo above, it looks like the TV is a painting that has been framed.

It also comes with a 4K resolution so in terms of future proofing, you’re good to go. The 40-inch model will be officially available in August where it will be priced at $1,500 where it will be sold in white. A blue model will be exclusive to MoMa and Samsung’s stores.
