Gaming on smartphones makes more sense than a smartwatch, especially considering the amount of screen real estate a smartwatch has. However if you recall, last week we reported that Square Enix was working on a game that would be exclusive to the device, and it looks like gamers did not have to wait too long.
Square Enix has officially launched the game which is called Cosmos Rings. The game is part of the company’s Chaos Rings series and according to its description, “Cosmos Rings features nostalgia-evoking visuals, simple touch screen controls and intuitive gameplay providing a unique experience to the Apple Watch. The time travel system in the game utilizes the device’s Digital Crown and messaging feature that operates according to the number of daily steps taken. The title also features automatic battles supplemented by the Active Chain Skill (A.C.S.) system, allowing players to unleash powerful skill combinations.”
Essentially this is a game that takes full advantage of your smartwatch and its capabilities, but for now it looks like it will be exclusive to the Apple Watch. Also just like other Square Enix games, Cosmos Rings will not come cheap, at least compared to other apps. It is priced at $5.99 and is available for download via the iTunes App Store, so head on over if you’d like to get your hands on it.
