Pokemon Go is the latest game released by the Pokemon Company. Just in case you are not familiar with the game, it relies on augmented reality technology where gamers use their smartphones to try and capture Pokemon in the real world where they will also be able to battle other Pokemon trainers.

Now given the Pokemon Go name, we guess some of you guys might be confused with Square Enix’s series of “GO” games, like Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO, but instead of being upset with having a similar name, the folks at Square Enix actually had some fun with it by creating a Pokemon Go parody in the style of the company’s GO games.

Now obviously this is not how the actual Pokemon Go game plays, but we have to say that it makes for a perfect parody because the game looks pretty damn good! In fact we wouldn’t be opposed if this were made a reality, although we guess licensing issues would ultimately prevent it from being made.

In any case if you have a minute or so to spare, you can check out the video above to see Square Enix’s Pokemon GO in action. In the meantime, the real Pokemon Go is still only available in Australia and New Zealand.
