SwiftKey’s keyboard app for iOS and Android does a decent job at predicting what text we want next. However not just content with predicting text, it seems that SwiftKey’s next efforts is to predict emojis, but instead of updating its keyboard app with the feature, the company has decided to launch a separate all-new keyboard app called Swiftmoji.

As the name implies, this app will predict emojis in your messages. This means that based on what you have been typing, the keyboard app will be able to suggest an appropriate emoji which according to its developer, will save users time from having to scroll through the various pages of emojis to find what you want.

However chances are if you already use emojis heavily, you probably have a few emojis that you keep going back to, so we’re not sure how much more useful this app will be, but if you’re looking to get into the emoji game, maybe prove to your kids how trendy and hip you are, perhaps this is a good place to start.

It should be noted that Swiftmoji is the company’s first product release ever since SwiftKey was acquired by Microsoft earlier this year. The app is available for download via the iTunes App Store and Google Play, so head on over to check it out.
