tinder_socialTinder has largely been a one-person show, meaning that you find your own matches and your own dates. Its success will be entirely up to you. However if you’re not feeling comfortable doing 1-on-1 dates, fret not because Tinder has just launched Tinder Social, a new feature of the app that will now allow users to setup group dates.

Basically how it works is simple. It works just like normal Tinder, except that users get to swipe right/left in groups, meaning that if you have a group of single friends that are ready to mingle, gather them together and start swiping and look for partners who are also using the Tinder Social feature.

However unlike regular Tinder, Tinder Social is a temporary feature, meaning that it is only good for 1 day, which means that you can’t create a group and use it for the next few months. It sounds like the idea behind Tinder Social is about spontaneity where groups of friends looking to meet some strangers on the same day can do so.

It sounds like a pretty fun feature and if you’re the type that likes meeting new people, then why not? It might not necessarily be for dating as it could be just for making friends, like attending a concert together, checking out a new bar in town, and so on.
