twitch clipsBack in May, Twitch announced a new feature called Clips. Basically these are 30 second highlights that users can create from videos, meaning that if there is a particular moment in a stream that’s worth checking out, you can create a clip of it and share it with friends as opposed to users having to sit through the entire video, which can run for hours.

However at the time of announcement, the feature was limited to its partnered channels, but the good news is that in a post on its blog, Twitch has announced that they have made the feature open to all channels on Twitch, so if this is a feature that you’ve been looking forward to, you should go ahead and take it for a spin on your favorite channel.

According to Twitch, “Whether you’re watching a tournament with thousands of other viewers or hanging out on stream with a couple friends, when something unforgettable happens, you can clip the action and spread the hype to everyone you know. Just hit the Clip button on the video player or use the keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+X on PC and alt+X on Mac) to clip the best moment from any live stream.”
