Sony-Xperia-F833X_1Last week we reported on a series of leaked photos of an unannounced Sony Xperia handset. Now it seems that the very same handset is reported to be on sale over in Croatia, and given that the phone has yet to be released officially, there is a good chance that the device sold is a stolen prototype or it could be a fake.

According to the seller, they have listed this phone as being a new Xperia X Performance handset, and has also revealed some of its alleged specifications. For example they listed the phone as having a 5.1-inch display, a 23MP rear-facing camera, a 12MP front-facing camera, and will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM.

Xperia Blog has challenged some of those claims by suggesting that based on previously leaked information, the phone is supposed to have a 5.2-inch display and a 13MP front-facing camera. In any case we suppose since all of this is just conjecture, it would be pointless to quibble over specs that aren’t even official.

No word on when Sony plans on making this handset official, but IFA is taking place in September so perhaps we will learn more then, until then take it with a grain of salt.
