If you’re looking to track your sleeping patterns, your phone is capable of doing that. You also have fitness wearables that can do that as well. However if the idea of leaving your phone so close to your head while you sleep doesn’t sit well with you, or if you don’t like having something on your wrist while you sleep, then the ZEEQ smart pillow might be for you.

As the name implies, this is a smart pillow, meaning that it is more than just a soft and fluffy thing for you to rest your head on. Instead the pillow will be smart enough where it can play music to you while you’re lying on it, tracking and analyze your sleep, wake you up intelligently (meaning that it won’t wake you up while you’re deep in REM sleep), and apparently will help prevent snoring as well.

How does this work? It works with a built-in microphone that will listen to your snoring, and if it detects that you are snoring, it will vibrate gently to encourage you to change positions without actually waking you up. The pillow will pair with your smartphone and an accompanying app, meaning that when you wake up you can check on your “stats” via the app.

Now as tempting as the features are, we suppose ultimately the pillow is designed for your rest so whether or not it is comfortable enough for your liking remains to be seen, but if you’re intrigued, hit up its Kickstarter page for the details and to pledge your support.
