Amazon is also in the video streaming business and it creates some great original series for Prime Video. If you’ve heard about some of its most popular shows and have been meaning to check them out but don’t have a Prime subscription, you will be happy to find out that today Amazon has made pilot episodes of ten of its most popular original series free to watch.

Anyone can watch the pilot episodes of these shows on Amazon Video’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page. Pilots include The Man in the High Castle, Bosch, Transparent, and Mozart in the Jungle. Several kids series are included in the lineup as well.

This is the first time that Amazon has made pilots of its original series available for free streaming online on platforms other than its own. Naturally, the company will be hoping that it can reach out to new potential subscribers via these platforms and entice them into purchasing a subscription when they check out its quality original content.

Video streaming services are heavily relying upon original content to bring in new subscribers. Netflix has been doing this and Hulu as well. Amazon’s most highly anticipated original content – the motoring show hosted by the ex-Top Gear trio – is due to be released later this year and it’s bound to bring in a lot of new subscribers for the company.
