asus_zenwatch_3Despite companies like Samsung, LG, and Motorola creating round smartwatches, ASUS decided to be a bit different by sticking to the square-ish design that we saw in the ASUS ZenWatch and ZenWatch 2. However as you might have heard, the upcoming ASUS ZenWatch 3 is said to be of the circular variety.

Now thanks to a set of photos posted online by ePrice (via 9to5Google), it seems that those suspicions have been proven right. As you can see in the images above, they allegedly depict the upcoming ASUS ZenWatch 3, and sure enough it looks like the smartwatch will indeed sport a circular face.

Unfortunately apart from the photo and the three buttons on its side, not much else is known about the ZenWatch 3 in terms of its specs and features. One of the photos shows the underside of the watch but it is unclear if there could be a heart rate sensor as a sticker is covering a good portion of it.

There is also a good chance we are looking at the watch running on Android Wear, unless ASUS had a change of heart and decided to create their own platform. No word on when the ZenWatch 3 will be unveiled, but with IFA 2016 kicking off next month, it is possible that more will be revealed then.
