pokemon-goOne of the features of Pokemon GO is its Battery Saver mode. Given how much battery the app consumes, we guess it made sense that Niantic would include the feature in consideration of its users. However in the app’s update, Niantic decided to remove the feature which obviously did not sit well with many gamers.

The good news is that Niantic has heard you guys loud and clear, and have announced that Battery Saver for iOS will be making a return soon. The post on Facebook reads, “We have been hearing the feedback loud and clear about the removal of the Battery Saver mode on iOS devices. We had removed this feature as several users were experiencing it to be buggy, but we are fairly confident that a fix for this should roll out within the next several days.”

So far Niantic’s updates and changes to the app have not gone down well with its playerbase. Many have complained that the updates have “broken” the game in the sense that tracking apps no longer work, and combine that with the removal of the indicator of nearby Pokemon, it sounds like the company has lost quite a bit of fans with these changes.

The company has since acknowledged that their communication could have been better, and that they are working hard to make the game better for everyone. “We have been working long hours to fix many other bugs and bring some exciting new features to Pokémon GO in the future.”
