The Road to Battlefield 1 campaign by EA has proven to be very good for those who own a copy of Battlefield 4 or Battlefield Hardline. As part of this promotion, EA offered substantial discounts on both titles and will continue to offer paid DLC free right up till the launch of Battlefield 1. It has now confirmed that Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC has gone free for an entire week.

Battlefield 4 China Rising DLC is available for free on all supported platforms until August 9. This DLC takes the battle to the Chinese mainland with all-new maps, gadgets, vehicles as well as a new game mode.

Four new maps are included in China Rising, namely: Silk Road, Altai Range, Gullin Peaks and Dragon Pass. Also included in this DLC is the Air Superiority mode which allows players to jump in their jet or heli and dominate the dogfights in this mode where two teams fight for control of the skies.

It won’t be available for free after August 9 so if you own Battlefield 4 don’t waste any time in picking up this DLC for free. Battlefield 4 is also going to feature a community mission until August 8th which will award all participants with a gold backpack.

Battlefield 4’s Naval Strike DLC was free last month, if you missed that you will now have to pay for it. EA will keep offering such freebies until Battlefield 1 is released this October.
