Your Galaxy Note 7 is a wonderful device. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back but should it ever be damaged that it requires a screen replacement, bear in mind that the procedure is going to cost you a small fortune, As it turns out, the cost of getting the screen replaced on the Galaxy Note 7 is similar to what it is for the Galaxy S7 edge.

It has been revealed by Samsung’s support team that customers will need to pay around $270 for a new display for the Galaxy Note 7 in the United States. Samsung promises that once the handset has been through the official replacement process it’s going to look like its old self again and it’s going to be water resistance like before.

This is actually the same price for display replacement that Samsung Support has provided for the Galaxy S7 edge, a phone which has greater similarities and little differences with the Galaxy Note 7. It’s possible that going forward the average repair cost for the display on a dual-edge curved smartphone is going to be $270.

For those who would like to be spared the full $270 charge at some point in the future, Samsung offers an insurance plan called Protection Plus which costs $129 and covers two accidental damages to the device in a period of over two years.

There’s a $79 deductible for each incident so the first cracked screen is actually going to cost $60 less than the $270 that non-members would have to pay.
