Battlefield 1 is one of the most highly anticipated games of this year. It’s not uncommon for major games to get paid expansions these days so it was not surprising when the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass was announced. It’s basically a season pass that will get you four paid DLCs at a discount. It will cost you more if you buy each paid DLC individually so the best option is to go with the Premium Pass if you plan on purchasing all of the paid DLC that will be released for this game over time.

It’s not cheap, though. Battlefield 1 Premium Pass costs $49.99 but it does promise you access to all four planned downloadable expansions. Players will be able to add both French and Russian armies to their campaign when they purchase the pass aside from the first DLC which is called They Shall Not Pass.

An additional incentive for Premium Pass owners is that they will get access to new DLC two weeks before everybody else, this starts with They Shall Not Pass, which is Battlefield’s first paid expansion and is due for release in March next year.

Premium Pass owners will also get 16 new multiplayer maps, 20 new weapons, new Operations and game modes, several new vehicles as well as Battlepacks which will start arriving by November 2016.

Battlefield 1 itself is slated for release on October 21st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
