Dropbox introduced Paper as its idea of a collaborative workplace about a year ago, think of it as the company’s own Google Docs rival. Paper has been in closed beta since it was announced and now the cloud storage service is finally opening it up in public beta for all users on iOS and Android. The Paper app is now available for the App Store and the Google Play Store.

Dropbox revealed that early Paper users have already created a million documents using this service and provided the company with valuable feedback. Using their feedback the company has been able to make improvements like image galleries, enhanced tables, notifications on desktop, web, and mobile, a powerful search feature, and more.

Paper is now available in all its glory for all users. You can sign up and start using it instantly as there’s no waitlist anymore. All of the new features that Dropbox has built into Paper are also available via the mobile apps.

Bear in mind that Paper is still in beta so don’t be fazed if you encounter the odd issue or two. Working is still ongoing and Dropbox will certainly be improving its functionality and stability in the upcoming releases.

For users in the European Union, Dropbox separately notes that the Paper mobile apps are “coming soon” to their region.
